ABOUT DNISE

Dnise Brown grew up as a young girl watching her mother do hair for
friends and family members. Like many little girls who admire their moms,
Denise soon followed in her footsteps and became the go-to hairstylist for
neighborhood friends, classmates, and co-workers.

After high school, Dnise took a temporary break from pressing and curling
to enroll in mortuary school, but she quickly returned to her real passion.

Wanting to receive professional training and a license, the Bronx, NY
native enrolled in Empire Beauty School. Not long after graduation, Dnise
had a chance meeting with New York-based photographer Jeffery Gamble and
was able to add another layer to her talents and career path. She became
Mr. Gamble’s apprentice assisting him on major photo shoots and absorbing
knowledge about the art form.

During one fateful photo shoot, Dnise met veteran hairstylist Dana Gibbs
and assisted her style the tresses of models on the set. That turned out to
be a significant experience, because Denise says Dana really helped her
master her technique and learn the culture and etiquette of working with
celebrity clients.

All of Dnise’s experiences have helped to shape her into a skilled and
versatile hairstylist. She’s thrilled to bring everything she’s acquired to
the world where she is certain to blossom even more!
